Greenwich football golf outing set for June 3

The Greenwich High School Big Red  football team will host its 13th annual golf outing and charity auction at the E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course, in Stamford on June 3.

This four-player scramble offers golfers the opportunity to experience a great day of golf while having fun supporting a good  cause.

Each team includes cart and green fees, a hospitality gift, lunch, dinner and drinks with auction and raffle to conclude the day.

The Greenwich High School football program is the largest sports program at high school. The Cardinals have enjoyed tremendous success for many years. In the past, this outing has helped head coach Rich Albonizio purchase equipment to keep the programs tradition going.

Part of the proceeds of this years outing will also support the Tony Deluca scholarship fund.

Check-in is at 11:15 a.m., with lunch slated to begin at 11:30. There will be a shotgun golf start at 1, with dinner scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Individuals and foursomes are welcome, however reserve early because space is limited.

Tournament sponsorships are a big part of fund raising, as they are tax deductible and include a sign displaying the corporate or family name.

Last year there where requests from supporters of the program, who where not big golfers, to attend the dinner. This year, only  attending  dinner, which will take place at the Zody’s  19th  Hole, is an option.
