Hopkins no match for Sacred Heart lax as Tigers win 15-4

Coming off a tough loss to Rye Country Day School last week, the Convent of the Sacred Heart lacrosse team got back to its winning ways yesterday afternoon with a 15-4 victory over Hopkins School.

Grabbing a 8-2 lead at the break and cruising the rest of the way, the Tigers were led by Taylor Ryan, who finished with five goals. Allie Kenny added a hat trick and two assists, while Colleen O’Neill finished with three goals and one assist. Mo Leitner tallied one goal and one assist, while teammates Emma Novick, Charlotte Jeffrey and Meg Gerli each added one goal.

In net, Maddie Pillari finished with seven saves in the winning effort.

With the victory, Sacred Heart upped its record to 5-3 on the season and will be back in action Saturday when they host cross-town rival Greenwich Academy at 2.
