Reduce, reuse, recycle for Earth Day

RecycleIn celebration of Earth Day, the Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board and Greenwich Green & Clean are once again urging residents to take part in Earth Shred 2013 on Saturday, April 27.

Sponsored by The First Bank of Greenwich and Santaguida Sanitation, the initiative encourages residents to protect personal or sensitive information while following proper recycling practices. Old financial statements, medical records, tax and social security documents and similar  forms will be shredded on-site.

Residents are asked to remove non-sensitive papers, folders, envelopes, paper clips, plastic binders and covers.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Island Beach parking lot. The charge will be $1 per box with a maximum of eight boxes. Box size guideline are 12” x 18” x 12”.
