Greenwich volleyball travels to Trumbull and blanks Eagles, 3-0

The Cardinals were rude guests during their tour of Trumbull this week. After the Greenwich High School boys volleyball team upended St. Joseph High School earlier in the week, they returned to Trumbull High School yesterday afternoon for a game against the Gold Engles and came away with the 3-0 shutout.

Senior co-captain Aidan Rafferty led the way for Big Red with 12 kills and two aces, while fellow senior co-captain Packy Hanrahan finished 27 assists, four kills and four aces.

Not to be outdone was senior Dexter Frisch, who added seven kills and two blocks.

With the victory, Greenwich improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference. The Cards return home tomorrow afternoon when they host Danbury High School.
