Learn ‘About Woman’ at art exhibit

Get to know Greenwich artist Agnieszka Aga Cichy through her painting exhibit “About Woman” now on display at the Gertrude White Art Gallery at the YWCA Greenwich through April 30.

Ms. Cichy was born and raised in southern Poland, where she received formal training in fine art and obtained higher education in architecture and architectural design.

She relocated to the U.S. in 2002, first settling in New York City, and then in Greenwich, where she has been residing since 2006.

“About Woman” is, well, about woman: woman in love; smiling; amazed; posing; day dreaming; wondering; smoking cigarette; with flowers in her hat.

It is the newest collection of paintings from fall of 2012 and winter of 2013. Mediums used include acrylic on canvas and fine art giclée on paper.

Previous solo exhibitions of Ms. Cichy included: Colors & Shadows (2003), Alive (2004), My New Land (2005), and Two Dragonflies (2008).
