Angling historian, author and Tuna Club Foundation president Mike Rivkin will discuss the colorful sport of big-game fishing on Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at the Bruce Museum.

Mr. Rivkin’s talk, titled Blue Water, Big Fish: A History of Big-Game Fishing, will chronicle the evolution of big-game fishing, presenting the story of the people, places and fish that have come to define this enduring pastime from its birth off California’s Santa Catalina Island in 1898. The lecture, which is the first in a two-part series held to complement the exhibition The Lure of the Ocean: The Art of Stanley Meltzoff, is free with museum admission.

For reservations, call 203-869-0376 or e-mail lecture date, your name and number of guests to [email protected]
