Cafero will focus on state budget in Saturday talk

Is the state budget on your mind? Then The Greenwich Republican Women’s Forum has a perspective for you right from one of the key players in Hartford.

The forum is inviting the public to attend a Connecticut state budget discussion with State House Minority Leader Rep. Larry Cafero (R-142nd) on Saturday, April 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, One West Putnam Avenue.

Mr. Cafero has been serving his district, which includes New Canaan and Norwalk, for 21 years. He has been discussed as a potential gubernatorial candidate for the Republicans in 2014 but has not yet made a public decision on that. His intention for the talk is to focus on what he feels is lacking in Gov. Dannel Malloy’s budget and what Republicans can do to right the state’s fiscal ship.

Public parking is available on Lafayette Place for the event. Admission is free but seating is limited so attendees are being advised to arrive early. Light refreshments will be served.

Interested people can RSVP by sending an e-mail to [email protected]
