Cadets can’t march past Greenwich volleyball, as Big Red wins 3-1

The Greenwich High School boys volleyball team traveled to Trumbull earlier today and upended St. Joseph High School, 3-1.

Greenwich won the first set 25-18 and took the second 25-23, however the Cards fell to the Cadets in the third set 25-19. In the fourth set, Big Red came out with the game-winning 25-21 victory.

Senior Packy Hanrahan finished the day with 35 assists and two kills, while teammate and fellow senior captain Aidan Rafferty added a team-high 18 kills. Freshman Daizo Mori added six kills and five aces, while senior Zak Steiner tacked on 12 kills and added two blocks.

With the victory, the Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the young season.
