Free course on reducing risk of heart disease available this month

What’s the skinny on your cholesterol? Find out this month when the Greenwich Department of Health offers a free four-session course to help you reduce your risk of heart disease.

Nancy M. Ryan, MS, RD, CDE, CD-N, will present the program on the third floor of Town Hall. The course will take place Tuesday evenings April 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Attendees will learn about risk factors — the value of exercise, your medications and how they work, life style modification, and the methods to reduce cholesterol. Free cholesterol testing will be offered at the first class. Pre-registration is required by calling 203-622-7851.

The event is sponsored by the Greenwich Department of Health Supported by a grant from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
