Brunswick baseball stunned by Hamden Hall, fall 7-6

The Brunswick School baseball team was three outs away from its second win of the season earlier today. However a four-run seventh inning by Hamden spelled doom for the Bruins, as they fell 7-6.

Brunswick got five quality innings from starter Bradley Wilpon, who gave up four hits and two earned runs, while striking out one and walking three.

The Bruins, who scored twice in the fourth, once in the fifth and three times in the sixth, were led by Mike Marzonie, who went 2-for-3 and scored twice.  Chris Hart finished 1-for-2 and added two runs batted in. Ryan Popp also finished with two hits on the day.

With the loss, Brunswick fell to 1-4 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow when they host Greens Farms Academy at 4:15 p.m.
