Fire police ready to ‘dine out’ on April 4

Everyone enjoys a good meal, but how about one that benefits the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc.? That would probably taste even better,

On April 4, restaurants and food vendors around town will donate a portion of their sales that night to the patrol, which is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) first responder organization that is based in Cos Cob, but serves the entire town by responding to the scenes of major emergencies and assisting not just those impacted but their fellow first responders as well.

This is the first ever Patrol Dine Out and organizers intend for this to become an annual event after the big response from participating restaurants. On  April 4, people may stop in for a bite at popular establishments including Joey B’s, Sound Beach Pizza, Crew Restaurant, Pizza Post, Tomatillo Taco, Bistro Latino, Chicken Joe’s in Cos Cob, The Cos Cobber and Louie’s Restaurant and Bar. A full list of available restaurants will be updated daily through April 3 and is available online at ccfpp.org.

Additionally the event is being supported by several sponsors. Stamford’s Fairway Market is the Main Event Platinum Sponsor and Greenwich Avenue staples the Pepe Auto Group and Greenwich Pharmacy are both Gold Sponsors.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. was founded in 1927 with the mission to serve and protect the residents and other first responders of the town of Greenwich. The patrol, which  is one of the few organizations remaining nationwide which specialize in the art of salvage work, provides services that include firefighting and traffic and scene control at emergencies. Members are specially trained to protect valuable personal property inside of a home or business in an emergency that could otherwise be destroyed due to fire, water or smoke damage.

For more information about joining the event as a participating restaurant, sponsor or to help with a donation in any amount contact Sgt. Sebastian Dostmann at 203-550-4415 or via e-mail at [email protected]
