Duff earns 2012 top realtor title

A 28-year career in realty has paid off for Greenwich resident Alice Duff who was recently named the Realtor of the Year for 2012 by the Greenwich Association of Realtors (GAR).

Ms. Duff, of  Sotheby’s International Realty, served as a director of the Greenwich Association of Realtors and the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service from 2010 through 2012.

Ms. Duff was also instrumental in contributing to GAR’s membership through her leadership on several committees including scholarship, awards, legislative and public affairs.

Ms. Duff additionally serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Association of Realtors.

A strong contributor to the education and mentoring of real estate professionals, Ms. Duff contributes to the community through several organizations including the board of Greenwich Hospital and the hospital’s Community Advisory Committee, the Board of the American Red Cross’ Greenwich Chapter, Board of the Field Club of Greenwich, Community Answers, PTAs at North Street and Greenwich Country Day schools, and serves on the nominating committee for Greenwich Health.

Ms. Duff is also an elected official on the Representative Town Meeting serving her district for the past 11 terms.

Ms. Duff has been licensed and a Realtor for 28 years. Her tenure has included time with the former William Pitt real estate office and Duff Associates. Ms. Duff’s’ colleagues credit her for always taking action on issues, being detailed in her pursuits for accuracy and encouraging them to make the right decisions for the benefit of the whole.

The Realtor of the Year Award is the highest honor presented to a member and is based upon leadership and contributions made to GAR, the Connecticut Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Greenwich community.
