The boxing program at the YMCA of Greenwich has been pulled off the ropes, thanks to retired professional boxer David Telesco.

Now on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the YMCA Mr. Telesco will train his students in the sweet science of boxing with aerobic conditioning.

Mr. Telesco has been fighting since he was 15, and is now looking to share his passion with both youth and adult crowds. His impressive career includes medals in the Golden Gloves and Empire State Games. He has championed the New York State, U.S. Boxing Association and North American games and is famously known for his Light Heavyweight Championship match against the legendary Roy Jones Jr. in 2000.

Mr. Telesco says he emphasizes better health and focus when training his students, skills that carry over and improve their lives outside the ring.

Private and small group training is available. For more information, contact the front desk at 203-869-1630 or by e-mail at [email protected]
