Boy Scouts gave enormous help to food drive

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

On behalf of Neighbor to Neighbor, I want to thank the Greenwich Council of Boy Scouts for another successful “Scouting for Food” drive in March.

Throughout town, Boy Scouts collected more than 100 boxes of nonperishable food to restock the shelves of our Food Pantry. This annual food drive is one of the largest sources of donated food for us.

Neighbor to Neighbor provides free food on a weekly basis to 1,000 Greenwich residents. As a nonprofit, volunteer-driven and community-supported organization, we cannot meet this very real need without the support of individuals and organizations such as the Boy Scouts.

On behalf of our volunteers, staff, board of directors, and most importantly our clients, thank you.
