Weather forces schools closed Friday

The snowfall has given Greenwich students a long weekend, but they will pay for it by losing a day off their spring break next month.

With snow falling throughout the night it’s no surprise that the Greenwich Public Schools closed on Friday. But since the district had so many cancellations earlier in the year due to Superstorm Sandy, that means another day of spring break will be removed next month in order to meet state requirements for how many days schools should be open.

Please send us any news about cancellations or delays on Friday. Send news to www.Twitter.com/greenwichpost or e-mail it to [email protected]
