Pen women show ‘Treasure’ tomorrow

The Connecticut Pioneer Branch of the National League of American Pen Women is sponsoring a presentation by Georgi White on “The Treasure That is Our English Language” on Thursday, March 7 at 9:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the Cos Cob Library, 5 Sinowoy Road.

Ms. White served as English Department Chair and teacher of Advanced Placement English for over thirty years in three Stamford high schools. She also served on state boards and commissions, as well as on faculties of various universities, evaluating teachers and teaching methodologies.

She has an M.A. and PhD from Fordham University, where she specialized in English Literature from the 15th through the 17th Centuries. Her doctoral thesis focused on the poetry and plays of T.S. Eliot. The CT Pioneer Branch, the oldest in Connecticut, is comprised of writers, composers, and visual artists.

The program is free and open to the public.
