Round Hill Club fares well in squash championships

The Round Hill Club squash program showed some great results at the Connecticut State Championships held at Chelsea Piers in Stamford over the weekend.

The foursome of Melody McAtee, Avery Westerfield, Haley McAtee and Nick Spizzirri all had dominating performances in the championship. Melody McAtee took first place in the girls 11-years-old and under division, while her sister Haley McAtee took the gold in the 19-years-old and under division.

Not to be outdone was Spizzirro, who took first place in the boys 13-years-old and under division. Teammate Westerfield finished tops in the girls 15-years-old and under division.

Round Hill Club also had other squash athletes fare well. For the girls, Macckenzie Faughnan took second place in the the 13-years-old and under division, while Elle Santry finished with the bronze in the 15-years-old and under bracket. In the 13-years-old and under, Charlotte Forshner netted fourth overall.

For the boys, Dana Santry netted the silver in the 13-years-old and under division, while Pierce Henderson took fourth place overall in the 13-years-old division.
