Sacred Heart hoops starts its defense of FAA title with win over Masters

The Convent of the Sacred Heart basketball team opened the Fairchester Athletic Association postseason with a dominating 51-37 victory over Masters School.

Sacred Heart was led by Claire O’Neill, who finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Teammate Emily O’Sullivan added 115 points and 12 boards, while Colleen O’Neill pitched in with 12 points and eight rebounds.

With the victory, the Tigers move to 13-6 overall and will battle Rye Country Day School, which beat Greenwich Academy earlier in teh day, Friday afternoon.
