Songs of the heart

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, three renowned artists will perform love songs this Sunday, Feb. 17, to benefit the ALS Association. Songs of the Heart will showcase the love songs the community knows and enjoys — many from musical theater— and will be filled with beauty, humor, passion and joy.

The concert will feature Greenwich resident and vocalist Steve Magnuson, harpist Wendy Kerner and vocalist Marjorie Donalds.

There will be a reception with the artists following the program. The concert will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Hitchcock Room at Saint Mary’s Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue.

This is a free concert, with a suggested free-will offering of $20, or you can reserve a seat in advance by making a donation for $15 online at Makingadifferencewithsong.eventbrite.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the ALS Association, which supports the fight to treat and cure Lou Gehrig’s Disease while also empowering people with ALS and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
