Sacred Heart basketball nets first loss in FAA, falls to Rye

The Convent of the Sacred Heart basketball team fell for the first time in Fairchester Athletic Association play this year, bowing to Rye Country Day School, 55-50.

The Tigers were led by Emily O'Sullivan, who finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Colleen O'Neill added 14 points and five assists.

Rye Country Day was led by Carolyn Binder, who scored 19 of her 29 points in the first half. Even when Sacred Heart put a box and one on Binder, she was still able to drain key 3-pointers down the stretch.
