Greenwich Water Club's Row for Brazil is a success in its second year

Over 160 people turned out to support the second annual Row for Brazil event.

The event was held on Saturday to benefit “Young Talent,” a Brazilian program that introduces underprivileged kids from Rio de Janeiro to the sport of rowing.

The event, organized by Greenwich Crew rowers Lucas Colagrossi and John Oswald, was hosted by the Greenwich Water Club. Fabiana Beltrame, winner of the Women’s Lightweight Single in the 2011 World Rowing Championships, made a special appearance and added her rowing muscle to a participating team.

Prizes were awarded to the top finishers in each category and raffle winner, Cristiano Leao, received a free private rowing lesson from Beltrame.
