Ronald W. Cristiano, Jr,, 51, Greenwich High grad; funeral services on Friday

Ronald W. Cristiano Jr. of Trumbull, who grew up in Greenwich and graduated from high school here, died Nov. 13 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was 51.

Mr. Cristiano, known as Ron by family and friends, was born in Port Chester, N.Y., raised in Greenwich and was a longtime Trumbull resident. A graduate of Greenwich High School and the University of Connecticut, he was vice president/general manager of Tx Telecom Inc. of New York, N.Y.

Mr. Cristiano was a lacrosse enthusiast who was responsible for bringing the youth lacrosse program to Trumbull. He spent countless hours on the field coaching and encouraging the players. An avid sports fan, he loved going to games with his loved ones, his family said. Mr. Cristiano also enjoyed running, swimming and was very passionate about his garden. He loved to travel and just recently fulfilled his lifelong dream of going to Italy.

He was a devoted father and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him, his family said. Survivors include his children Mark Cristiano and Annie Cristiano and their mother Cathy Cristiano; his mother Geraldine (Mollica) Cristiano; his sister June Canchoa; his niece Lauren Canchola; and his longtime companion, Lori Alcan, all of Trumbull. He was recently predeceased by his father Ronald W. Cristiano Sr.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home at 399 White Plains Road. Burial will be private.
