The Greenwich Post is starting the new year with the introduction of a new column, "Greenwich Voices," featuring a range of perspectives on the issues that matter most to town residents.
The Post has recruited five concerned citizens from across the political spectrum and from a variety of backgrounds to weigh in on the major issues of the day. They will tackle topics such as the town's public education system, proposed capital projects and local elections, along with broader topics such as the state of the economy or how Hartford or Washington is voting, so long as the topics resonate in Greenwich.
First up this week is Sean Goldrick, a Democrat recently elected to the Board of Estimate and Taxation. Joining him with columns appearing over the next four weeks are Chris Von Keyserling, longtime Republican RTM member and true Greenwich original; Jenny Byxbee, Greenwich Youth Services coordinator for the United Way; Claude Johnson, local businessman and Democratic Town Committee member; and Ed Dadakis, RTM member and former head of the Republican Town Committee.
The column will appear each week —space permitting— in the editorial section of the paper, and online at Greenwich-post.com under the Columnists section.
