The Brunswick School wrestling team capped off its highly-successful Brunswick Invitational Tournament by winning their home event, taking first place overall with 328 points.
Hackley School finished a distant second place overall with 203 points and Suffield Academy took third with 173 points. Hotchkiss School grabbed fourth overall with 145 points and Noble & Greenough School rounded out the top five with 141 points. Greens Farms Academy netted sixth with 106 points.
For Brunswick, Pete Briggs won the 138-pound weight class by beating Suffield’s Max Axelrod with a 14-11 decision. Not to be outdone was Johnny Erdman in the 170-pound weight class, as he pinned Hotchkiss’ Elliot Bok at the 1:56 mark of his match to win the weight class.
Willy Rosato kept the good times rolling in the 220-pound division, taking first place overall by pinning Greens Farms Academy’s Trent Turner 37 seconds into the championship match.
