C. Parker Gallery welcomed internationally recognized pop artist Peter Max at special event on Jan. 30.
In addition to his original iconic works, some of his new “Max on Greene” works were displayed and available for sale. These distinctive works drew a number of Marilyn Monroe, Milton Greene and Peter Max collectors. In spite of the cold temperatures, the event enjoyed an enthusiastic turnout of more than 150 admirers.
Many of the original works found new homes and one Marilyn series nearly sold out.
A selection of Peter Max’s art works, including the “Max on Greene” collection were available at C. Parker Gallery during regular business hours and private appointments are available.
“The unique opportunity to own one of these of these pieces is exciting to collectors It is Marilyn, it is Peter Max, and there are only a few available. It is rare for an artist to have achieved such recognition and distinction in their lifetime. Collectors recognize the potential,” said C. Parker Gallery’s principal Tiffany Benincasa.
C. Parker Gallery, Barbara Zaccagnini of Coldwell Banker and Diane’s Books collaborated on this special event that benefited Adopt-A-Dog. Mr. Max has consistently given his support to animal rights agencies and in keeping with this tradition, a percentage of future proceeds will continue to be donated to Adopt-A-Dog to assist their efforts in making a difference.
