Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc. agents and sales teams once again claimed more than 25 spots on The Thousand list, an annual ranking by The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends. Based on sales completed in 2012, 21 agents and five of the firm’s sales teams achieved placements on the list.
Serena Boardman ranked second, with $393,742,540 in sales volume, and Roger Erickson ranked 10th in the country, with $254,095,000 in sales. Both are East Side Manhattan agents. Five of the top 50 agents in the nation that were listed in the Top 250 Sales Professionals by Transaction Volume category are also with the firm, and based in the New York, Hamptons and San Francisco markets.
Three agents from the Greenwich office made the list: B.K. Bates ranked 127th with $71,991,000 in sales, Joseph Barbieri ranked 193rd with $60,257,500 in sales and Lyn Stevens ranked 228th, with $54,832,500 in sales.
“It’s always exciting to see our agents and sales teams rank so well in The Thousand, which recognizes their success on a national scale,” said Tom Gorin, Greenwich brokerage manager officer of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc. “We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments, or happier to see them acknowledged by such a respected and competitive ranking.”
An additional 21 agents and seven teams from the Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate network were also ranked on the list, bringing the total number of the brand’s participating agents to 42 and its sales teams to 12. In the Top 250 Sales Professionals by Transaction Volume category, the network professionals comprise nearly 17% of the list.
“We salute the 42 agents and 12 teams represented on this year’s ranking,” said Philip White, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “As a brand, we saw a 32 percent increase in our representation over last year. This is a testament to the hard work and diligence of our network and our agents’ commitment to serving their clients.”
