Art displayed on Wednesday

Normally a bank isn’t where you’d expect to find a collection of art, but that just means you’ve never been to the First Bank of Greenwich.

The bank has scheduled a reception and press party for Wednesday, March, 5, to showcase a collection of its 2012 Featured Artists, including Jay Castle, Frank Smurlo, Dona Menton, Michael Spezzano and Brooke Ann Haggerty Cottle

The reception will be held on March 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The First Bank of Greenwich at 444 East Putnam Avenue. There will be food, wine and music at the event and people can take the time to get a look at the art collection and continue a tradition that the bank has had since last April. Featuring artists, which bank officials say is part of the effort to be a community bank, is something that is expected to continue for years to come. The event is free and open to the public and people are asked to RSVP to Frank Gaudio at Frank@GreenwichFirst.com or 203-302-4375.
